My artistic practice explores the fragile space between presence and absence, reality and perception. Working primarily in figurative painting, printmaking, and mixed media, I transform ordinary moments into psychological landscapes where familiar objects, bodies, and spaces become carriers of memory, vulnerability, and emotional tension.
My process often begins with observing and photographing unstaged moments from everyday life, not to reproduce them, but to collect visual traces that I later reinterpret through painting. By reducing forms, emphasizing atmosphere, and subtly disrupting reality, I seek to reveal moments of instability that often lie beneath the surface.
I see painting as a way of making visible what often escapes our attention, creating images that invite quiet contemplation rather than immediate answers.
Biography
Sadaf Sadeghinaji is an Iranian contemporary visual artist working primarily in figurative painting and printmaking. She holds a B.A. in Painting from Payame Noor University, Tehran East Branch. Her professional practice includes group exhibitions, public art projects, and continuous academic training in Iran and internationally.
