My art is like an archaeological journey and is composed of different layers. Sometimes the unexpected happens and a mistake turns into a surprise. I work with acrylic and oil for painting and I also sculpture with tape. Everything ist coming by nature, because I grew up on an very small island in the north area of germany near Denmark. The wide open landscape, the sky and northsea have shaped the the way I see things. Everything i create is coming from my childhood and little things I see on may way in the city, for example coulours or shapes. I really like the moment where my art ist surprising me. And the peole who are looking at my work. The tape art called “Hüllen” is an ongoing project since 2014 and it comes from canvas in 3d.
Biography
Studied at the HfbK Hamburg, painting and sculpture. Last Exhibition in Stuttgart/ Wagenhalle and til December 2026 at the House of Paper in Berlin. I work and live in Hamburg and I am a member of the Achterhaus Studios e.v. and the Saloon Network Hamburg. I also work as an therapiest with disabled children.
