I create abstract paintings inspired by the beauty and complexity of nature.
I’ve always loved slowing down and really observing what’s around me.
The more closely I look, the more fascinating nature becomes. It’s often the smallest details, the colours, textures and patterns, that leave the biggest impression, and those are the moments that inspire my work.
My paintings are meant to catch the viewer’s attention, encourage them to come closer and reveal new details the longer they look.
I hope they invite people to lose themselves in the artwork, allowing everything else to fade away, even if it’s only for a moment.
I mainly work with acrylic paint and occasionally incorporate resin to enhance depth and luminosity. By building and blending multiple layers of colour, I create distinctive textures that add movement and depth while giving each painting its own unique character.
My colour palette has evolved from bright, vibrant tones to deeper, moodier colours that reflect a wider emotional range. As a perfectionist, abstract painting constantly challenges me to let go of control and trust the process. Some of my favourite pieces started as paintings I almost gave up on before they evolved into something I truly loved.
Above all, I hope my work leaves people with a positive feeling. Nothing makes me happier than hearing that my paintings continue to bring joy, positive energy and a sense of calm long after they have found a new home.
Biography
Hi, my name is Yvonna, a German artist with Polish roots, based in Hamburg.
Creativity has always been a part of who I am. While I was still living in Amsterdam, I started asking myself what truly makes me happy and realized that painting had always been one of those things, as it is my way of expressing feelings that are sometimes hard to put into words and turn them into something visible. With a new chapter ahead of me, I decided to give that part of myself more space again.
As I was settling into life in Hamburg in 2024, an unexpected opportunity came my way: I was offered a place in a shared studio with some friends in a former bread factory in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel.
It felt like everything fell into place at exactly the right time.
Together, we built a space full of ideas, inspiration and creative energy.
We organized and exhibited at several independent pop-up exhibitions, where we created our own events to showcase and sell our art while connecting with the community.
In 2026, I also had the opportunity to exhibit at BAAM Berlin, an important milestone in my journey as an emerging artist.
What I love most is seeing how people connect with my work. Nothing makes me happier than hearing that one of my paintings continues to bring joy, positive energy or a sense of calm long after it has found a new home. Knowing that my art becomes part of someone’s everyday life is the greatest motivation to keep creating.
