BAAM

I have always been fascinated by the way light filters through stained-glass windows or through the leaves of trees. This fascination is reflected in my art, where angular, geometric shapes meet soft, luminous gradients of color. Nature is my greatest source of inspiration. My paintings reflect the mist-veiled forests of my childhood, the vast sky and the endless spectrum of blues and greens found in the sea. Through my work, I hope to convey both my deep appreciation for the natural world and the importance of preserving it, while simply celebrating its beauty through abstraction.
I paint mainly with gouache on wood or plywood scraps – a surface that lends the artwork a warm, distinctively matte texture and a unique character.

Biography

Hi, my name is Anne, my artist name is Yimber. After completing my studies in Graphic Design at HAWK University of Applied Sciences in Hildesheim, I spent many years working in the field of animated film in Hamburg before rediscovering my passion for painting – and for triangles and geometric forms in particular.
As I have only recently returned to painting, I have not yet had the opportunity to exhibit my work. I would therefore be truly grateful for the chance to present my paintings as a part of your exhibition.
