BAAM

Ever since I started taking photographs, I have always been fascinated by the possibility of freezing and redefining the moment.
Staging my pictures and reducing them to the essentials is my passion as an artist.
This is the second part of my trilogy *Floating/Falling/Impact* (this was the last section I produced). The series focuses on the expression of the body in a single moment. The images depict falling bodies, yet without specific movement; there is no indication of speed or the height of the fall. The viewer can decide:
Is this moment real or a constructed reality? And does it even matter?

For me, art offers the opportunity for limitless self-expression, provided the artist remains honest with themselves. The philosophy behind my work is to create an aesthetic space for thinking and interpretation.
My work does not involve AI. It’s all real photography.

Biography

I was born in Hamburg in 1974. After spending ten years in Berlin, I moved back to my hometown in 2022.
Still and moving images have always been my passion. Having conceived and produced award-winning music videos and fashion films, I have focused intensively on photography for the past decade or so. I have exhibited my work in Hamburg, Leipzig, London and Berlin.
