1. — Curatorial Description – Walking Between Worlds Extraterrestrial beings, some floating effortlessly rather than walking, traverse the surface of a surreal planet surrounded by hovering liquids, luminous flowers, and sculptural trees from another universe. Here, nature follows its own poetic logic: translucent streams drift through the atmosphere, while alien flora unfolds in impossible forms, creating an ecosystem in perpetual transformation.
Blending science fiction, ecological imagination, and contemporary fashion aesthetics, Walking Between Worlds invites viewers to reconsider beauty not as something familiar, but as an ever-evolving dialogue between humanity, imagined life forms, and the unknown.
2. — Curatorial Description – Asian Petals is a visual work that reinterprets the floral aesthetics of traditional Asian murals.
The result is a series of meditative compositions featuring fluid transitions between organic reality and artificial alienation, oscillating between contemplation and movement.
In this way, Asian Petals explores the balance between tradition and technology, the observation of nature and digital imagination –
as a quiet, poetic process.
Biography
Digital Artworks
Tanja Fassold works at the intersection of visual design, art and technology. Drawing on a strong background in graphic and motion design,
she develops a contemporary visual language that blends design, AI with nature and surreal spaces.
Her practice moves fluidly between animated and non-animated digital
visual worlds and encompasses digital works, AI-based moving images and
immersive spatial installations.
At the heart of her work lies the exploration of hybrid states and an engagement with beauty and digital worlds: transitions between nature
and technology, reality and imagination, visibility and transformation.
In surreal, often botanically inspired scenarios, plant structures intertwine with digital formal logics to form independent visual-poetic ecosystems.
