My practice centres on painting as a process of repetition, transfer and displacement. It begins with a bodily gesture, but rather than being recorded directly on the surface, it is translated through layering, overlap and material transformation. Working with acrylic on prepared supports, I build images by applying, removing, interrupting and reworking layers of paint.
The resulting pictorial spaces function as echoes of movement: traces of gestures that have been repeated, shifted and re-formed. My works often develop in series, where individual paintings respond to one another. Repetition reveals differences, ruptures and temporal shifts. I am interested in painting as a place where gestures can be carried forward, delayed and encountered again in altered form.
