BAAM

My paintings are abstract creations with acryl on canvas.
Painting is my yoga and my mental counterpoint to my job, where concepts, strategies and structure determine my actions. In contrast, I surrender to my intuition and the swirl of colour when I paint.
My paintings are the result of concentrating on myself and my feelings. Eye, heart and hand are then in perfect harmony!
The extreme difference between the two activities is what makes painting so appealing to me.

And in the end, I simply love having created something new and unique, which I can look at with joy and pride and always discover new details myself.
However, what I love the most is, that my art inspires others to dream away within and break out of their daily life’s, at least for a short time and that it brings more colour and fun into their homes.
It’s the biggest compliment and satisfactions when others fall in love with one of my pieces and are even that much stuck into it, that they want to see it every day at their home.
That is still not something I take for granted and feels still special every single time.

Biography

My name is Stella, I was born in Hamburg and live in Ottensen with my husband and my two daughters. I am 36 years old and love the mix of family, work, art and urban life in our district.
When I say that painting has become a part of my life, it also means that my life and my art are closely connected. For me, colours are emotions that take shape and form on the canvas.
Each painting is a snapshot – and therefore unique in many respects. As much as my life is in motion, my colours are in flux.
I love to create and bring my creative ideas on canvas – each one being an one-of-a-kind.

My latest exhibitions were at “Zeit für Brot” in Ottensen and in the Pop Art Gallery in Othmarschen.
