My work is driven by a search for possible truths within the world I have built — a world naturally and collaterally shaped by historical and everyday forces. Life unfolds as a mystery woven between beauty and ugliness, good and evil — vague yet worthy concepts to be explored, that forms this contradictory existence. My way of speaking about these wondrous matters, and of saving myself from them, is by painting them.
