Sofia Sofiez (Santiago, 1990) is an architect and visual artist based in Berlin. After graduating and working in urban design for three years, she left architecture to pursue art. Self-taught in painting and audiovisual design, Sofiez explores pop culture and memes in her work, transforming viral phenomena into art, using her experience in urban design and research in audiovisual art to enrich her approach. Her move to Germany in 2019 deepened her interest in identity and global culture. Sofiez’s work combines humor with social critique, addressing how digital culture directly and contemporarily influences our view of the world.
