BAAM

Reyes Vollmond

These images examine the body as an object of transformation. Metallic textures, fragmented gestures, and altered skin create a tension between intimacy and artificiality, where the human form becomes sculptural, distorted, and emotionally ambiguous. The work explores the discomfort that emerges when the human body begins to appear altered, performative, and no longer entirely organic.

I’m a multidisciplinary visual artist working across photography, image-making and visual direction. My practice explores the boundaries between reality and fiction, creating immersive visual worlds shaped by intuition, texture and atmosphere.
my work is rooted in portraiture, identity and contemporary culture. At BAAM, I present a series of photographic works exploring the body as a surface under tension, where a metallic presence subtly disrupts its perception. The project combines a selection of prints with framed pieces featuring sculptural interventions, extending the image into a more physical and tactile dimension.
