Petar Pondev creates hand-tufted wool tapestries in which textile becomes a medium for emotional and conceptual exploration. Inspired by Primitivism, Expressionism, and Cubism, he works intuitively between figuration and abstraction, searching for balance between chaos and harmony, spontaneity and structure. Through layered colors, geometric forms, and portrait-like elements, Pondev builds vibrant tactile compositions that explore perception, transformation, and the limits of form. For him, tufting is both a physical process and a visual language through which material carries memory, emotion, and symbolism.
