Pepita Glück

In this series, I look at the ‘tapa’ as more than just food: it’s a ritual. It’s about those great moments around a table: the loud laughs, the long talks, and the simple joy of being together. My goal is to turn those quick, happy moments into something that lasts.
If you look closely, you’ll find hidden symbols and a tiny little secrets about the journey of making things happen.

Glück is a Berlin-based painter originally from Spain, from where she moved more than eleven years ago. She has exhibited in several venues and has presented three solo exhibitions in Berlin.
Before turning to painting, Glück worked as a surgeon, where anatomy and illness demanded precision. Painting became its opposite. In her work she moves away from strict realism and traditional perspective, using colour and composition more freely. Through still life scenes filled with food, books, and everyday objects she holds personal and cultural memories. Her paintings become small stories about connection, balancing spontaneity and structure in quietly surreal scenes.
