Nadya Net is a Berlin-based artist working with painting and illustration through a surrealist visual language. Her practice explores life between worlds, shaped by migration, displacement, and unstable belonging. Working across painting, digital photography, and illustration, she transforms archival images into narrative spaces where documentary reality meets symbolic imagination. Rooted in personal experience and broader social realities, her work reflects on memory, fear, loss, adaptation, and the ongoing search for home and inner balance.

Born in Perm, Russia, she studied academic drawing and painting before training in graphic design. After years working as a designer, illustrator, and art director in media, advertising, and tech, she turned to independent artistic practice. Forced to relocate to Yerevan in 2022, she returned to painting to process displacement and personal transformation. Working with photographs from her personal archive, she creates narrative works exploring relocation, fear, identity, and emotional change. Since moving to Berlin in 2023, she has continued developing this practice further.
