My work is shaped by life in Hamburg, New York, and Berlin. I understand urban space as a place of constant social, spatial, and emotional movement, where questions of identity, responsibility, and belonging are continually renegotiated. The city is not only my subject but also the conceptual framework of my practice.
Painting on canvas is at the core of my work.. Through strong contrasts—light and dark, stillness and movement, openness and structure—I create visual tensions that reflect the complexity of urban experience. The reduced visual language leaves space for individual interpretation and invites viewers to engage with the work through their own perspectives.
My practice extends beyond painting through installations such as *UrbanSchrottWeg!* and public interventions like *MaskeAufHD – so that it can continue…*. Moving between painting, object, and action, I see art as a way of connecting people, places, and ideas, creating opportunities for dialogue and new ways of seeing.
