My artworks blur the lines between photography and painting, between reality and abstraction, utilizing a form of experimental preservation as artistic expression. The transformation of urban spaces and objects, as well as their progressive decay, are processes that inspire my artistic practice.
Through transfer-procedures, I work with ink prints derived from photographs or photographic series, employing techniques such as fresco, photo-transfer, sgraffito, and mixed media – working on thick, handmade paper coated with layers of plaster or gesso.
The images in the sequence LASCIARE appear as multi-layered fragments, detached from a building façade.
