Mia-Franziska Böhm

My practice revolves around a carefully composed yet intimately familiar vision of reality, shaped by femininely coded imagery, vulnerability, and the instability of memory. Everyday objects become emotional carriers, relics of a private mythology, never reducible to mere decoration or simple sentiment. I am drawn to the power of cuteness, not as ornament, but as a force that creates closeness. My work sits with desire, with what was once wanted and what is still carried forward. My paintings feel like moments from a dream in which promises, desire, and memory flow into one another.
