My paintings are realised as fabrics that challenge the fixation of a defined material world. These fabrics hold objects, figures, and coastal environments in a balanced state of semi-depiction.
My process is often a loss of control in acts of pouring paint and resin or the act of glueing paper over large sections, keeping the content and atmosphere of the picture open and continually challenged.
I’m working to create an environment in which bodily and elemental movement happen. In working out of a process of abstract painting, I feel challenged to create something that resembles my questions about reality.
