I am a Brazilian visual artist working primarily with ceramics, multimedia installations and textiles. My practice explores hybridity, monstrosity, fantasy, and excess, engaging tensions between control and chaos, intimacy and estrangement, and pleasure and pain. I am interested in how these dualities depend on one another, opening possibilities for alternative ways of (co)existing. Focusing on the body and its representations, my work also examines accessories as extensions of identity, addressing gender and its inherent ambiguities. In dialogue with feminist thought, the work is permeated by humor and subtle irony, creating space to question ideas of beauty, body, and normative structures.
