Bonn-based artist often explores themes such as the essence of time, childhood, nostalgia, defragmentation and recombination, and the unique perception and interpretation of history. After completing her academic studies at Department of Fine Arts of University of Montenegro, Marina Skepner continues to work primarily in the field of academic drawing and painting while tending to unusual composition, multi-layeredness, and ambiguity. Skepner’s work evokes a wide range of associations and always encourages us to search for invisible connections between the inner and the outer.
