In my work, I focus on an everyday disposable product: plastic bags. Through an experimental approach to this material, I discover intriguing compositions that I translate onto canvas using pastel chalk. This process results in a wide spectrum ranging from soft and subtle color transitions to rough, hatched surfaces and linear elements. I treat the material as an aesthetic phenomenon, allowing the folds, as well as light and shadow, to develop their own dynamic visual language. The inexpensive product suddenly appears precious and elegant. The thinness and transparency of the synthetic material are emphasized, reinforcing the impression of something organic—perhaps even human—like skin or membranes.
