Lara Daskalou

Lara Daskalou is a Berlin-based artist and art director who has lived and exhibited internationally in Malta, Japan, Egypt and Greece. Her practice operates between painting and visual narrative, examining dystopian and surreal environments that reflect the fragile relationship between humans, society and space. In “Berliner Altbau, Mitte” she constructs a dystopian post-human scenario in which a city apartment building persists after human disappearance. Nature reclaims the structure while residual traces of former inhabitants remain embedded within the walls as inscriptions and fragmented memory. The work reflects on collapse, absence and transformation beyond human presence.
