I am fascinated by materials that usually go unnoticed in everyday life – mesh, packaging, textiles, and other found structures. Once they lose their original function, they open up new ways of seeing. This moment of transformation lies at the heart of my artistic practice.
I work with experimental printmaking, painting, and mixed media. Monotypes, collages, and relief-like surfaces emerge through an open process in which intention and chance are equally important. The materials leave traces, create resistance, and often influence the work in unexpected ways. For me, they are not merely tools but active collaborators in the creative process.
My work explores the relationships between body, space, and material, as well as the traces of human presence. I am interested in the tension between the individual and the collective, between visibility and disappearance, and between closeness and distance. These questions are reflected in the layers, structures, and spaces in between that shape my work.
Biography
I am a visual artist based in Pinneberg and Hamburg. After studying Fine Arts at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and spending an Erasmus semester at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest, I developed my own artistic practice at the intersection of printmaking, painting and mixed media.
Alongside my studio practice, I teach art at a school and lead creative workshops for children. Sharing creative processes with others is just as important to me as spending time in my studio.
My work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Hamburg, Berlin and Kiel. Most recently, I exhibited at Altonale Hamburg in 2026. I am a member of BBK Hamburg and also publish artist books and graphic editions.
