As an explorer with an eye for detail, nature is the central theme of my artistic practice. My photographs are staged visual journeys, shaped by surprising colors and forms—often striking viewers as paintings at first glance and blurring the line between medium and illusion.
The nature depicted in my work reveals not only the fascinating aesthetics of chance and the beauty that arises from chaos, but also serves as a projection surface for personal emotions and experiences—a mirror of inner landscapes. My images move between explosions of color and quiet meditation, a dynamic interplay of chaos and calm that celebrates nature’s diversity in all its facets.
An essential part of my artistic process is working in the tradition of “pure photography.” I deliberately avoid Photoshop or AI editing, as the authenticity of the moment is at the heart of my work; what looks like brushstrokes and canvas is purely the magic of light, timing, and nature itself.
Biography
I am an artist based in Hamburg, where I have been actively exhibiting in solo and group formats since 2017 – though my work has also reached all corners of Germany, from Bayreuth to Berlin and Bremerhaven. While pure photography lies at the core of my practice, it frequently expands into mixed media and installations, continually probing the boundaries between reality and abstraction.
Over the past 12 months, key exhibition highlights include LICHT & LINIE – Fotografie trifft Malerei in Hamburg’s Karo-Viertel, HAAM#3 at Kraftwerk Bille, and a group showcase at Cruise Center Altona.
