Julez (1982, Cali) is a Colombian multidisciplinary artist based in Germany since 2020. Having lived in Cali, Bogotá, São Paulo, and now Berlin, his work reflects the energy, color, and diversity of his Latin American roots shaped by these cities. With a background as an art director and graphic designer, his practice blends visual storytelling with experimentation.
Working across painting and sculpture, he uses acrylics, spray paint, oil pastels, found objects, and construction materials to explore the human figure. His characters merge with playful forms, folkloric echoes, and urban aesthetics. Vibrant colors, bold contrasts, and open-ended narratives define his language, inviting curiosity and personal interpretation.
His work has been exhibited in Latin America and Europe, in collaboration with artists and collectives from the urban art scene, reinforcing the hybrid and multicultural essence of his practice.
