Jakob Limmer (*1988, Bamberg) studied Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig in the Class for Installation and Spatial Art under Joachim Blank. His practice focuses on the relationship between body and structure, on how systems of order shape human experience and how agency develops within these dynamics. Through the interaction of body-related materials with rigid elements, his works address pressure, resistance, vulnerability, and transformation. His sculptures, wall pieces, and installations investigate transitional states between stability and dissolution, control and yielding, and the shifting in the relationship between body and structure.
