BAAM

In my work, I explore feminine movements, gentle gestures, habits, masks, and details of appearance, such as pink clothing, behind which strong and independent people may hide. I am interested in the contrast between outward softness and inner strength, between how a person appears and what they may be feeling inside.

I am drawn to tired movements surrounded by a delicate colour palette, and to the possibility of capturing a particular feeling or moment through oil painting.
In everyday life, filled with work, responsibilities, and the strict rhythm that we either have or create for ourselves, there are moments when we want to pause and surround ourselves with tenderness, kindness, comfort, warmth, and carefree moments.

I express this feeling through soft colours, light, form, and texture. For me, oil painting becomes a way to preserve and convey the tenderness of a moment.
Tenderness, for me, is like a blanket that can wrap around you or your home, creating a feeling of warmth, softness, and care.
