Gülfem Çetin Çapcı

Her practice creates a fluid connection between the personal and the universal. Figures emerging in timeless spaces reflect moments of introspection, vulnerability, and questioning, while tablescapes and natural motifs evoke shared memory, rituals, and collective experience. Bringing memory and imagination together, her compositions explore the invisible links between inner emotion and collective history. Color lies at the center of this visual language: at times calm and meditative, at others vibrant and contrasting, expressing transformation and plurality. Her work ultimately focuses on a collective human narrative shaped through the intertwining of personal experience and shared memory.

With over 15 years of experience as an art director in the cinema and advertising industries, Gülfem Çetin Çapcı is a Berlin-based visual artist since 2021. In her practice, she brings together digital techniques and traditional mixed media methods, developing a multilayered visual language within the context of contemporary art. She continues her work at her studio, Art Cave Berlin, located in the Wedding district of Berlin, where she also leads various workshop programs.

In her work, Gülfem explores the relationship between consciousness and the unconscious, as well as between the ego and the Self. She approaches artistic creation as a meditative act and a healing practice, positioning her artistic process as an integral part of an ongoing journey of personal transformation.
