My work is grounded in duality. Born in Germany to parents from Istanbul, I grew up between two cultures, exploring this inner tension through large-scale abstract paintings.
For me, the canvas is a space for uncompromising reclamation. After three decades of conforming to societal structures, my art represents the “imperative of the unlived” -an intuitive, performative act of catching up.
Working from my Berlin studio, I create pieces of significant physical impact. Using Burnt Sienna as a central anchor and raw earth tones, I employ heavy impasto techniques to build deeply tactile, textured surfaces rich with emotional presence.
