My work always originates from photography, specifically from the intentional slowing down of our perception. In our fast-paced world, I deliberately look for the beauty in the everyday, which I hope to convey to the viewer through my photographs. By choosing to shoot analog, I force myself to literally slow down. This process has trained my eyes, creating a heightened condition for observing the world. I look carefully in the moment, deciding right then and there how the final photograph will capture that reality. I do not look back only when I get home, nor do I create a different reality through extensive post-processing.
Most of the images shown here were taken during my travels. It is precisely because you step out of your daily routine that the necessary space is created to pause, truly look, and let yourself be filled with wonder once again.
Photography serves also as the fundamental starting point for the light sculptures and installations that I build within the space.
