The focus of my monochromatic art lies in the influence of light, making us aware of the light surrounding us in everyday life. A feature of my relief art is that the pieces adapt to changes in a room’s light; its type, intensity, and angle suggest direction and movement. The depth literally adds another dimension. As light moves across a room during the day, it creates a variety of compositions within one piece. The daily and seasonal journey of light, especially sunlight, represents the steady passing of time, encouraging mindful reflection and the cherishing of valuable moments.
I’m originally from The Netherlands. I moved to Berlin in 2012. After a career in marketing in the field of interior & design, I started my own project crafting three-dimensional graphic artworks. The focus in these monochromatic pieces is set on the usually understated influence of light. The depth literally adds an extra dimension, creating multiple compositions in one piece.
