paint in oil because I enjoy the slow conversation it creates. Every layer changes the next one, and the painting gradually reveals its own direction. I rarely begin with a fixed idea. Instead, I follow colour, rhythm, and light until an image starts to feel alive.
My work grows out of ordinary moments—a walk through a garden, changing weather, flowers that bloom for only a short time, or the way light transforms a familiar place. These fleeting impressions become the starting point for paintings that are not about documenting reality, but about preserving a feeling before it disappears.
I am interested in the balance between spontaneity and control. Loose brushstrokes and rich textures meet careful observation, allowing recognisable forms to emerge without becoming literal. I want the viewer to discover something new every time they return to the painting.
I believe art doesn’t always have to challenge or explain. Sometimes its purpose is simply to slow us down, remind us to look more carefully, and bring a little more light into the spaces where we live.
Biography
I am a contemporary artist based in Munich, Germany. I have been painting for more than ten years and continue to develop my practice through workshops, independent study, and courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. My work is inspired by nature, everyday life, and the emotional connection between people and their surroundings. I mainly work in oil, focusing on colour, atmosphere, and texture rather than literal representation. Over the past few years, I have taken part in a number of exhibitions in Munich, including local gallery exhibitions and open studio events, as well as Artlokal Viktualienmarkt, Kunst im Karree, the Annual Exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts, ArtMUC, and most recently KUBOSHOW 2025. My work has been shown in both larger exhibitions and smaller independent gallery projects, and I enjoy connecting with visitors and other artists through these events.
