Through an interdisciplinary practice, I look to expose power dynamics between institutions and the social experience in relation to the body. By questioning the norms of social life, my work explores how this relationship can have political and social repercussions. Within my work, tension is at the heart of each piece. It is through contradictory concepts that I look to communicate the intangible uncomfortability of social life. My Mexican and personal biography is the drive behind my practice but not always the main focus. Rather, they function as a mirror towards questions on how institutions hold power over the body.
