Clement Loisel

Clement Loisel strives to tell stories through images— stories that invite reflection and resonate with our modern times. These are not personal tales, but collective ones, rooted in the shared experience of living in today’s society. Themes such as downfall, violence, manufactured consent, and moralization are recurring throughout his work.
In Loisel works, aesthetics are not secondary; they are essential. Engaging with these realities is not simply a choice—it is inherent to him. If not artists and poets, who else will tell of the defining moments of our time?

I was born in France, studied in Montreal Canada, I live and work in Berlin since 2010. Through the years I have exhibited in many different venues and galleries nationally and internationally. My work consist of realistic oil painting and charcoal drawings that are for the most part, critics of modern society.
