BAAM

Christina Krämer

Since I was studying textile design, I was focused on an artistic, technical, and
experimental approach in small series or in individual pieces rather than in the industrial
production process with large quantities. In my more recent work you mainly find wool,
mostly in a felted form in combination with other materials and techniques.

Wool ist my canvas to paint on and my clay to form.
It is the beginning of everything that I create and manages to combine my love for
natural materials with traditional manufacturing techniques and to drive my
experimental urge in any direction. It can be freely shaped because it is not
constrained to a thread system nor to a machine size and therefore does not need
to be rectangular or edgewise. It is simply full of potential!
