Christina Eva Walz studied fine arts at Kunsthochschule Mainz/Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, graduating with a diploma with a focus on drawing. The Berlin-based artist combines painting, drawing, and collage in layered abstract works shaped by delicate linear structures and translucent surfaces. Her works on paper often incorporate transparent and opaque materials, creating an almost sculptural quality. Through extended processes of layering and transformation, her paintings develop complex visual spaces full of depth and atmosphere. Walz’s abstract compositions invite viewers to discover subtle details and create their own associations, memories, and narratives within the image.
