BAAM

In my artistic practice, I explore knitting and crochet as an independent sculptural language. I am not interested in creating functional objects, but in the potential of the thread to generate physical forms through repetition, time, and growth. My works emerge intuitively from a single thread and develop stitch by stitch into abstract, three-dimensional sculptures that remain deliberately open to different associations.

Working from the material itself, I create forms that follow internal processes of growth and move between the familiar and the undefined. By transferring textile techniques into the context of contemporary art, I shift their perception: the seemingly ordinary becomes a counterpart. Working with wool thus becomes a dialogue about material, time, and social notions of value, labour, and art — a practice that raises open questions rather than providing definitive answers.
