Living in a fast-paced, high-performance culture creates a constant drive, but also a deep need to step back and find grounding. Having spent years working in set design and prop studios, my background initially centered on large-scale spatial installations and sculpture.
Today, I draw from this technical study of various materials to freely utilize any medium that serves my visual narrative—from heavy acrylic layers, elements of oil and the use of mixed media on surfaces from canvas to raw wood.
Recently, I have also started expanding the artwork into space, subtly customizing corresponding objects, furniture, and wall contexts to frame the ideal environment.
Through physical textures, repetition, and disciplined coincidence, I build up my artworks much like the driving rhythm of a hip-hop beat.
Above all, maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic is my highest criterion. My philosophy revolves around the concept of flow: like water breaking through stone, my abstract art transforms urban friction into a meditative state.
Each piece is crafted as a visual sanctuary for anyone navigating the daily noise – a dedicated space of focus, balance, and essential calm.
Biography
As a self-taught artist, my work is driven purely by inner necessity and a commitment to people—not by market trends or gallery agendas. This summer, I took the decisive step to become a full-time artist, fully dedicating my focus to the studio.
Living and working in Cologne for the past eight years, my practice remains deeply rooted in real human experiences, balancing family life as a father with the daily demands of our performance driven modern world.
My artistic foundation was built during the ten years I previously lived in Hamburg, where my connection to Viva con Agua began over 12 years ago—including a decade with the Millerntor Gallery and four years in the main auction of Viva con Aguq Arts.
Over the years, my work has organically built an international presence, with exhibitions in Tokyo, New York, London, Istanbul, and Zurich. Recent milestones include showing at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum for its 100th-anniversary exhibition and with 1000Freund Gallery in Cologne.
My paintings are held in private and corporate collections worldwide. In November this year, my canvas “The Urban Antidote” will be auctioned exclusively for Viva con Agua Arts in Hamburg.
