I have always been fascinated by the material quality of dreams and the way our brain processes emotions, experiences, irritating and unconscious parts in them. Worlds emerge and disintegrate, boundaries flow, rules dissolve, familiar things come in a different form, but without seriously confusing us.
It seems as if we intuitively grasp the essence of things in dreams.
My work combine emotions and feelings with dream-like landscapes, it play with inner images, imaginations and surreal ideas. I want to make the invisible visible, tap into the unconscious and find an expression for emotional states. My images are quiet, poetic and a bit magical, humorous and positive. They are an invitation to viewers to step inside, look around, connect mentally and reflect.
Photography, graphic programs and digital painting are my tools. In the style of collage, I bring together all the elements piece by piece to form a complete work.
All my pictures are self-portraits that tell from a deeply subjective, female point of view. Nevertheless, I don’t play the leading role in my pictures. I am one element of many, which gives me the opportunity to take my perspective and yet connect universally with my own story.
I don’t use AI for my work.
