Beate Köhne

Beate Köhne’s work focuses on color and pure painting. Irregular contours and gestural brushwork lend a sense of dynamism and movement to her mostly large-format paintings.
Careful observation of natural processes forms the basis of her painterly abstraction. Beate’s paintings have been exhibited regularly since 2000. She received several grants, and her works are found in private and public collections nationally and internationally. She lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
