Inspired by Beat Generation’s influence, I wield architectural tools to map the landscapes of the soul. With china ink, watercolor, acrylic, and collage on cotton paper, I create vibrant expressions that flow like unrestrained thoughts. My work delves into inner worlds, capturing the ephemeral beauty of fleeting moments.

Achim Saar

Achim Saar is currently devoting himself to different materials and how they can be combined.
Wood, metal, bronze, glass, ceramics, etc. are some of the materials he has already worked with.
But the topics are also important, in this case he is trying to bring together different things that don’t really belong together.

Agata Maas

Conceptually, I draw my ideas from the infinite reservoir of imagination and the subconscious. Themes such as collective myths, psychoanalysis, outsider art, and the bizarre particularly fascinate me.
My works are an expression of my own reality, my personal sensations and observations, while simultaneously referencing philosophical, depth psychological, and metaphysical concepts. They are inspired by poetry and mysticism and transport me into dreamlike landscapes where animals, hybrid creatures, mythological symbols, and mystical elements merge into complex messages. Light and atmosphere play a decisive role in this, with dark and luminous colors interacting and giving tangible form to the invisible.

Agnese Kurzemniece

Agnese Kurzemniece embarked on her artistic journey at the Rozentals Riga Art School. She subsequently pursued her education at the Graphic Art Department of the Latvian Academy of Arts. She also participated in Henrik Boeg’s non-toxic gravure workshop in Spain.
Currently, Agnese is deepening her academic knowledge by attending the Curator Study Program. In recent years, she has gained recognition for her figurative acrylic paintings that delve into the symbiotic relationship between the ever-changing woman and nature, as well as the metaphorical significance of landscapes. Agnese has participated in local and international group exhibitions, made several solo shows.

Alenka von Engelhardt

Originating from Sydney, Australia and currently residing near Hamburg, Germany, Alenka von Engelhardt is a contemporary abstract artist whose practice consists of joyful abstract paintings, where the interplay of colours, shapes, and their intricate relationships narrates compelling stories.
Alenka’s artistic journey is a testament to her dedication to crafting original pieces that seamlessly integrate into contemporary modern interior design.

Algorigraph (Fabian Eck)

Algorigraph’ verkörpert die Fusion von Code und Kunst. Der Hamburger Künstler Fabian Eck erstellt jedes Bild mit einem selbst entwickelten Algorithmus und setzt es danach mit dem Stiftplotter um.
Dabei entstehen Werke, die aus verschiedenen Distanzen völlig unterschiedlich wirken: aus der Nähe dominieren abstrakte Linien, aus der Entfernung offenbaren sie eine beinahe fotorealistische Qualität. Jede Tuschezeichnung ist in ihrer Ausführung einzigartig. Zu Ausstellungen bringt Fabian Eck oft einen Plotter mit, so dass ihr den faszinierenden Entstehungsprozess seiner Werke live verfolgen könnt.

Amalia Valdes

Her work maintains a relationship of correspondence with both concrete art and ancestral knowledge. In her work Valdés engages in a metaphysical conversation with astrology, bringing together fragments from different cultures and geographies, revealing an interest in ancient symbols and sacred geometry.

Amber Cannings

Amber Cannings was born in Southampton in 1996 and lives and works in Berlin. She graduated with a first-class degree in Fine Art at Loughborough University, where she also completed a year of study at the Universidad de Zaragoza in Spain.
Cannings’ work is centered around space and place, she takes energy from her surroundings and represents not just the way things look, but the essence of them, how it feels to be there in that exact moment.

AME DGD

AME DGD (*1995) lives and works as a multidisciplinary artist in Berlin. Lots of childhood memories impact Amelie´s expressively colorful and naïvely abstracted style – depicting a certain nostalgia for the careless times of being a kid.
By breaking down our complex modern world into shapes and colors only, the focus lies on emotional reactions to reduced sensory input. This impact of colors is a central topic, going along with the artists background in the psychiatric field. The figures oftentimes depict protagonists of city life in Berlin, discussing topics of feminism, queerness, techno parties, kink. By using LED backed canvases the paintings are extended by the aspect of turning into light installations. This technique creates new ways to use paint and mixed materials in different spectrums of light.

Anahita Sadri Khanloo

My art revolves around using different materials to explore the ordinary moments of daily life; Adding layers of my own interpretation, expressing myself while reimagining these moments.
I primarily work with oil paint and photo transfer techniques, drawing inspiration from everyday scenes and human connections. I explore various ways to transform them, arranging colors and shapes to best convey the underlying idea behind each piece.

Anastasia Strockova

Selected at Bologna Children Book Fair for illustrations to her first book, “The Elephant, Who Was Afraid of Heights”, and published many children books since. One of the last books “Unforgettable Events” is awarded at Bologna Ragazzi Amazing Bookshelf, nominated on Golden Ribbon award and translated to 4 languages.
Nowadays her focus is on Wimmelbuch and Bilderbuch illustration for children from age of 6, it’s full of characters and little stories, with love of action, kindness and humour. Besides children’s book illustration creates conceptual illustration for wide range of projects. Collaborations with leading publishers, magazines and graphic studios. Residency at Fresh A.I.R. Andrey Kasay

Andrey Kasay is a multimedia artist based in Berlin and originally from shores of Amur river, where his neighbors were the Amur tiger and a wild dog, who taught him to draw. He’s done a bunch of exhibitions around the world and have been participate in numbers of festivals such as Pictoplasma in Berlin, Supernova Animation Festival in Denver and Art Basel in Miami.

Andrii Kovtun Khvylya

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, I have been doing graffiti since 2000, and since 2011 I also started creating murals and paintings. During this time, I managed to collaborate with such companies as Eurovision, UEFA, Sprite, and many others.
My works are on the walls of Berlin, Madrid, Riga, Nairobi, Beirut. they also wrote about me in a street art book that was published in Paris

Angela Augustin-Wittkuhn

Angela Augustin-Wittkuhn arbeitet als Grafikerin und freischaffende Künstlerin in Hamburg. Aus der grafischen Gestaltung kommend, liegen ihr Formen, Flächen, Farbe und Typografie, die aber in ihrer Malerei aufgebrochen werden.
Losgelöst von Briefings und Timings kommen unterschiedlichste Themen auf Leinwand, die mit eigenwilligen Schraffuren und vielen Malspuren inszeniert werden. Geplantes wird von Intuitivem durchkreuzt und sie liebt es, wenn sie am Ende denkt, das hätte ich nicht gedacht.

Als intermediale Kunsttherapeutin widmet sich Anna-Lea Wiegard der Arbeit mit Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung. Für sie sind diese vielfältigen Begegnungen eine wesentliche Quelle der Inspiration für ihre eigene künstlerische Praxis.
Ihr Interesse liegt insbesondere darin, zu erforschen, wie die Welt aus verschiedenen Perspektiven betrachtet werden kann. In ihren Kunstwerken folgt sie einem Weg des Experimentierens und Entdeckens. Sie setzt unkonventionelle Techniken ein, wie das Malen mit geschlossenen Augen, ihrer linken Hand und einem verlängerten Pinsel, um alltägliche Elemente auf die Leinwand zu projizieren. Im Anschluss übermalt sie die Leinwand großflächig, wodurch aus den verbliebenen Fragmenten des ursprünglichen Werks oft vollkommen neue, unerwartete Elemente entstehen. Der Austausch mit den Betrachtern ihrer Kunstwerke liegt Anna-Lea Wiegard besonders am Herzen, da er verdeutlicht, dass jeder Mensch die Welt auf seine eigene, einzigartige Weise wahrnimmt. Ihre Kunst lädt dazu ein zu Entdecken und Geschichten zu erfinden.

Hi, ich bin Anne Stallkamp. In Hamburg und auf Reisen setze ich mich mit der Landschaft, die mich umgibt auseinander. Zuletzt war ich ein Vierteljahr in Neuseeland, um dort zu malen. Nun bin ich wieder zurück und hatte eine Ausstellung im Kultorhaus Hamburg.
Ich habe Kunst in der Klasse von Prof. Schomer studiert. Meine Kunst lässt die Betrachter gedanklich an unbekannte oder aber ihnen bekannte Orte reisen. Die Farbstimmungen regen an oder beruhigen den Blick. Ich freue mich wenn ich mit dabei sein darf. Lieben Gruß!

Annika Spiegelhalter

The naked truth cannot be hidden. Not behind screens, walls and poker faces. My paintings are a glimpse into the minds and under the skin of characters. I direct the viewer’s gaze to the emotional fullness of small and large moments.
Capturing movements, emotions and thoughts allows me to process my world and create clarity. The fact that my personal thoughts and meanings are not fully apparent opens up the possibility of interpretation for the viewer. This is where the subjective truth is added. The paintings create an open space for inner dialogue in the depths of an abstract world.

Antanina Slabodchykava

Antanina Slabodchykava is a painter and performance artist. She was born on April 7, 1979. 2004 she graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts with an Architectural Monuments and Decorative and Applied Arts degree. Since 2005 she has been a Member of the Belarusian Union of Artists.
In 2020, due to political persecution, she was forced to leave Belarus. She currently lives and works in Dresden, Germany. She works in the fields of painting, graphics, and installation. Using collage, pop culture imagery, humor, and subtle irony, she discusses the topic of motherhood, gender identity, and social stereotypes. The heroes of her works are women and children who build relationships between themselves and the world around them.

Astrid Waterstraat

In ihren abstrakten Werken erforsche ich das Unsichtbare: das faszinierende Thema der Metamorphose und des Seins. Das, was sich wandelt, bleibt bestehen – und diese Transformation ist die Essenz meiner Kunst. Die Natur ist dabei eine große Inspirationsquelle für mich.
Meine Bilder sind geprägt von einer Palette intensiver Farben. Durch die Material- und Technikverbindung von Acrylfarben, wasserlöslichen Pastellen und Collage-Elementen entstehen vielschichtige Farbwelten. Diese Layer werden zu Fenstern in verschiedene Dimensionen und fangen kraftvolle Momente des Seins ein.

Barbara Evina

Barbara Evina is a Cameroon born french artist who took up painting as a tool of self expression. Based in Berlin since 2019, she started painting as a mean of introspection.
Barbara Evina’s art is dedicated to women of color and more particularly black women whom to this day, lack diverse, non stereotypical representation in the art community.

Beppe Gallo

I start with the premise that I have no plans and I know nothing. I experiment. I trust my instinct. I photograph women because this is the subject matter that inspires me the most.
Sometimes is body shapes or body parts, sometimes is portraits, sometimes is just abstract. I am inspired by the women I photograph as well as everything and everyone around me, from design, to music, to films, to politics, to people and most definitely emotions. At times in my head it is a little chaotic and what I am trying to say is not immediately apparent, not even to myself, but for some unknown reasons my work seems to connect with certain people and that’s all I can ask for.

Berner Panti Quispe

I am a Peruvian-Italian migrant and artist specialized in Platinum-palladium printing and image gilding, but also drawing and painting. My work develops itself around the concept of positivity and beauty as a way to defeat social poverty and injustice, and the analog process as a way to fight the rapid decline of our ambitious society.
The use of precious materials and ancient method is the result of my natural rejection of immediacy and obsolescence.

Carolina Oltra

My work is based on the exploration of the landscape as a symbolic territory, using mixed media and photography as a means of appropriation.
Through my micro to macro approach to analysis, I generate both formal and conceptual spatial relationships, revealing the complex human traces and interactions that unfold in the act of walking. My goal is to deepen our understanding of our environmental surroundings and to foster a more conscious and harmonious connection with it.

Carsten Wagner

Carsten Wagners themes focus on the female face and form, wildlife and subculture. Through the mediums relief- and intaglio printmaking, Carsten brings his characters and innermost thoughts to life, finding joy in getting his hands dirty while creating surreal and hyper-graphic figurative works.
The characters in his works are coming out of their own imaginary universe. A slow motion caption of ingredients which develop something that contains our volatile zeitgeist, celebrating counter-culture attitudes and underground moods as well as feelings and conflicts that appeared since humans were present.

Charlotte Hornung

Charlotte Hornung (she/her) is a visual printmaking artist living in Berlin. Bold color-shape-compositions, experimental narrative forms and manual printmaking processes old and new characterize her artistic approach. She prints with riso-, screen- or stencil-printing, both on paper and sculptural objects.

Christina Krämer

felt-ro Wool ist my canvas to paint on and my clay to form. It is the beginning of everything that I create and manages to combine my love for natural materials with traditional manufacturing techniques and to drive my experimental urge in any direction.
It can be freely shaped because it is not constrained to a thread system nor to a machine size and therefore does not need to be rectangular or edgewise. It is simply overwhelming!

I’d like to show (and sell :)) some of my collages (smaller ones): Important is for me, that I tear he paper by hand (not cut). The paper-pieces sometimes grow ower the edges. For me is coulour and it’s materiality (also of the paper I work with) very important. I also would like to show some of my paintings. All painted with Acryl-coulours and Aquarell.

Ciara Lee

The project, Balter, is about club culture and the dance space. The aim of the project is to capture the catharsis of the dancers whom are being released from the emotional tension of everyday day life. It focuses on members of the community using dance as a means of escapism and aims to provoke nostalgia in its audiences.

Giving shape to feelings is somehow never enough but it is still so soothing to see how they can become material, how they can talk through different techniques. That’s when you can look at them with no fear, with no taboo.
For some years now, I’ve had this big urge to exalt the concept of process as the powerful but ephemeral magic state in art. I love the idea of giving stage to all the things and situations that were involved on arriving to the final artwork but are not evident at first sight. That’s were the juice is.

Claudia Müller Montes

Claudia Müller Montes (1983) is a Chilean visual artist currently living and working between Berlin (Germany) and Santiago (Chile) where she works as senior lecturer for the New Media Department and Central Art Workshop at the School of Arts of Ponti cia Universidad Católica de Chile as well as senior lecturer on Cinematic Arts for the Department of Photography at the School of Visual Arts of Universidad Finis Terrae.
Claudia holds an MFA from Universidad de Chile (2011), a BA from Universidad Finis Terrae (2006) majoring in Printmaking, and received her Postgraduate Diploma in Graphic, Photographic and Video Production from Universidad de Chile. Claudia’s work arises from everyday observation of natural elements’ relationship with universal phenomena like gravity and time. Bodies of water (terrestrial and extraterrestrial) are observed as dynamic, sensitive,and temporal beings, presented through videos and installations in various materials and scales, narrating symbolic relationships between ecology, astronomy, and living beings.

Corinna Chaumeny

For my collages I use cut-outs, torn-outs, structures, painted and photographic elements. Analogue and digital elements with which I create multi-layered visual worlds. The collage technique serves me above all as a means of alienation, of creating new contexts of meaning.
Sometimes humour, sometimes poetry flows into the creation of my works. There are surprises due to coincidence, which also plays a part and usually has a positive influence on the result.

Cris Cerdeira

Driven by his passion for visual creation and storytelling, Cris Cerdeira finds in photography a means to explore his identity. His images connect his experiences with the world around him while reflecting on the notion of travel as a catalyst for personal transformation.
With a fresh eye and a keen sensitivity for colour, Cerdeira blends elements of his cultural background with influences he gathers from his travels, creating images that capture with aesthetic boldness the essence of contemporary life and challenge the limits that shaped his childhood.

Crook

I am an illustrator from Belarus, working in various techniques. These prints are from a series of graphic works created in Zhodino prison (Belarus), where I was held on political charges. The drawings combine sketches of harsh prison life with beautiful metaphors. All were drawn with a blue pen, as using pens of other colors was prohibited in prison.

Dagmar Petersen

Mich interessieren Menschen der heutigen Zeit im öffentlichen Raum, besonders junge Menschen, die sich und ihren Platz in der Welt suchen.
Dabei geht für mich eine besondere Faszination von der teils illegalen Gestaltung öffentlicher Räume (z.B. mit Graffiti, Stencils, Sticker und Plakaten) durch die Menschen aus, mit denen sie sich, ihre Botschaften und meist kritischen Stellungnahmen gegenüber der Gesellschaft mitteilen.

Daniel Leo Stern

Daniel Stern is a Berlin-based artist and performer. He has spent the last ten years touring as an acrobat and was initially drawn to working with textiles as a way to pass time backstage during shows.
His current work is a series of self-portraits that continue to explore ideas about how his own body is viewed both publicly and privately and challenges the relationship between gender and materials.

Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, I am a self-taught artist exploring the sacredness of solitude and the magic found within. My painting process is a journey into another dimension, where perfectionism and spontaneity coexist, allowing magic to flow from my brush.
My creative journey began with self-portrait photography, capturing moments of self-discovery and introspection. Each piece reflects my belief that in solitude, we connect with the true source of inspiration and knowledge. Ultimately, we are all our own muses and should recognize ourselves as our greatest work of art.

Eduardo Landa

I strive to portray the essence of my subject through my choice of a specific color palette and brush gestures. I work closely with them, developing the piece together and incorporating their personality into the very conception of the piece.
I refrain from giving a title to any of my work. I don’t like to give any more literal explanation to my work as I believe today the discourse is too important in many aspects of life and I hope my work can speak for itself.

Elisa Alcalde

I started painting watercolors on 2012 winter. First gemstones, then minerals and rocks. I painted almost every weeks in, as Patti Smith said, the “few hours of freedom” that left me between raising my kid and work. I kept painting and perfecting my technique until I had two solo exhibitions in 2017.
By the end of that year i was already painting still life. Having painting rocks and minerals let me handle transparency and volume that later I used it in the still lifes. I am very attracted to the subject of still life for the simple fact that one can elevate to an art status somthing common, ordinary. While I had worked in some small portraits a few years ago, on 2020 I wanted to experiment again with that subject but this time in much bigger size, painting some people that had been together in quarantine. Painting with watercolor its for me the nearest I can get what i have in mind to be real, to materialize. I see something in my mind and then I structured the image so I can paint it. Not only painting becomes my work but also it is my way to tranquility, to suprime the ghosts that can appear in my mind. I hope the painting keep letting me express what I have inside as restlessness, thought or illusion.

Ellen Kutter

Die Ölgemälde thematisieren modernes, urbanes, weibliches Leben – mein Blick auf die Welt und ihr Blick auf mich. Unschärfe durch Verwischen und Malen in transparenten Schichten, sowie das Feiern von oft unscheinbaren Details oder Widersprüchen führen zu einer Überbetonung dieses Blicks der BetrachterInnen.
Die Maltechnik orientiert sich an der der alten holländischen Meister. In die Abstraktion bewegt sie sich lediglich, um über die Darstellung von visuellen oder medialen Effekten eine Differenz im Sehen zu erzeugen.

Emma Bindrum

Art is. And art is always radical and political. Forbidden Love shows two women who want to but cannot be together. They spend their last day together while knowing they’ll never see each other again. Verzerrte Wahrnehmung (eg:distorted perception) shows a teenage girl who isn’t able to differ between fiction and reality. Both of these topics portrait real life problems that seem to have no solution.

Esther Czaya

After having been able to present artworks in a few group and solo exhibitions since 2014 I am very intrigued to be part of HAAM. I enjoy “free styling” in my personal works as a counterpart to fulfilling the aesthetic and pictorial wishes of my clients as an illustrator.

Eszter Kerdö

I aim to create paintings that bring happiness to people. If my work can bring a little more joy into someone’s life, I consider it a success.” My artistic journey is defined by a simple yet profound intention: to spread happiness.
As a painter, my greatest aim is to create works that bring joy and moments of happiness to viewers. In a world often marked by hustle and worries, I believe in the transformative power of art to bring glimpses of light into everyday life.

My paintings are an ode to the beauty of life, to the small joys, and to the carefree moments that make us smile. With vibrant colors and playful motifs, I aim to create an atmosphere of positivity that warms hearts and brightens spirits.

Each of my paintings is a loving invitation to be swept away by the flow of life and to pause for a moment, to recognize the beauty of the world around us. If my art can contribute even just a bit more joy to someone’s life, I consider that the greatest success of my work.

As an artist born in Hungary and now residing and working in Berlin, my creative journey has been shaped by a fusion of influences from both my upbringing and my current environment. Having pursued classical art studies, I developed a deep affinity for painting from an early age. Subsequently, my exploration led me to textile design, where I honed my skills at UDK (Universität der Künste Berlin). However, painting has always remained my true passion.

In my studio nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, I find solace and inspiration to express myself through vibrant brushstrokes and powerful imagery. Each stroke is infused with intention, each canvas a reflection of my innermost thoughts and emotions. My works often exude a boldness, both in technique and message, aiming to provoke contemplation and evoke visceral responses from the viewer.

Corporality, passing away, fragility of the body expresses the fundamental matter of Ewelina Makosa’s art works. I am the body – that means – I am mortal, I will passe away, I am changing, I feel. The body is matter susceptible to the suffering, impulses coming from the outside.
Topics which are fundamental for the artist while creating are body, death, memory, movement, emotions and also, currently relation to the objects we suround ouselves with.

Fanny Harms

Do you ever find yourself caught in the chaos of a world that seems increasingly divided and stressful? I think so many people around the globe share this feeling. That is something that we have in common. Maybe, a starting point, that unites us? And what if there’s another place to be?
In my work as an architect and artist, I embark on a journey to discover that place – a place for happiness and inner peace. I believe that life can be a source of joy and peace for everyone, as long as we reconnect with ourselves and, in doing so, with the world around us, with all. Everything is a fragment of its totality, all things are interconnect.

My process of creation is highly meditative, and I hope that the works transport this feeling to you. The aim is not just to travel to a new place, but to leave examples that assure others they are not lost or alone, like signs on our path to a better now.

Glafira Taratynova’s (b.2000) painting is visually and spiritually inspired by water. The reflective surface of water invites introspection and contemplation. Just as many spiritual practitioners use lakes, ponds, rivers, and other bodies of water as places for meditation and self-reflection, Glafira similarly approaches water.
The water’s fluid rhythm is visible through the rhythmic use of materials, from the repetitive rows of monochromes to textures. To Glafira, the importance lies in the encounter and appreciation of things that take place inside the studio and out in the wild.

In meinen Bildern arbeite ich mit gefundenen oder eigene Fotografien von Menschen in bestimmten Situationen, die wie eingefrorene Momente der Wirklichkeit anmuten.
Meine Ölmalerei, mal mit breitem Pinselstrich und daraus resultierender Unschärfe, mal dagegen gesetzte scharfe Linien, lasse ich neue, von mir interpretierte und dadurch transformierte Wirklichkeiten entstehen. Menschen, entpersonifiziert, transportieren innere Zwiesprache mit sich selbst oder einem Gegenüber. Durch diese Konzentration auf den Moment, dem Innehalten an einem spannungsreichen Balancepunkt, möchte ich für den Betrachter einen Schwebezustand erzeugen, der Fragen an die dargestellte Situation provoziert. Bilder, flüchtig und profan, wirken wie aus einem film still. Durch die Dichte einer Atmosphäre, die beim Festhalten einer bestimmten Bewegung entsteht, versuche ich in meiner Malerei zu diesem wesentlichen Kern des Augenblicks vorzudringen.

Es sind abstrakte Zeichnungen, die am Anfang eine Art Protest für mich waren, zwischen, aber, eine Art zu denken sind. Zeichnen ist ein lebendigen Prozess, das nie stehen bleibt. Aus der Tinte ist jetzt Nadel und Faden geworden.

Die neuesten Serie „Lippen Augen“ resultiert aus eine langen Porträt Phase und steht für die Dekonstruktion von Gesichtern, dieses Thema wird auch in der „Escape the Madness with color“ Serie aufgegriffen. Die von der Norm abweichenden Gesichter laden ein zu verweilen, die Wiederholung zu eine meditativen Betrachtung der Werke, nimm Dir Zeit. Die analogen Werke entsehen mit Acryl auf Leinwand oder Glas, die digitalen Portäts sind auf einem Wacom Tablet mit einem Stift gezeichnet und koloriert für das intesive Farb Ergebnis sorgt das Hahnemühle Papier, IZAIZA Kunstdrucke sind auf 11 Exemplare limitiert, die 11 steht für die Repetition, die sich auch in IZAIZA findet. Isabella Krzyscik geboren in Polen, wuchs seit ihrem zwölften Lebensjahr in Hamburg auf. Sie ist nach einem Kommunikationsdesign-Studium und der Tätigkeit als Art-Direktorin als Künstlerin und freie Grafik Designerin aktiv. Ihren ersten Gang an die Öffentlichkeit absolvierte sie 2012 während einer DJ- und Vernissage-Tour durch Tokio und Osaka u. a., dort erregte sie nicht nur die Aufmerksamkeit der lokalen Kunstszene, sondern gewann auch internationale Anerkennung, darunter auch im Blog der japanischen Vogue, weitere Ausstellungen folgten.

Jana Zimová was born in the Czech Republic in 1987 and now lives and works in Germany. In the tradition of Magical Realism, her works present unreal and impossible events taking place in the real world. The impossible or supernatural happens in her paintings.
The artist uses imagination in the frame of natural environment and social realities, thus searching for a truth that goes beyond what is visible in everyday life. In those so-called “magical happenings” in her paintings, reality and dream melt into a superordinate totality that needs to be interpreted.

Jana Jacob

Jana Jacob, a painter living in Berlin, brings a mixture of self-portrayal, latent a mixture of self-portrayal, latent exhibitionism and voyeurism. With increasingly saturated colors and bold, rough brushstrokes, she reveals the subtle interplay between an often inaccessible intimacy and the shame-filled, hesitant desire to show oneself.
The human body parts, which she often depicts in detail, develop their own symmetry and are transformed into landscape-like elevations, ravines and caves that tell their own stories out of their context and tell their own stories. How do we put inner and outer images into new contexts again and again? I see my work as a search for its own form of surrealism, a means to question reality, from the flood of images and the various levels of the digital age to search for a deeper understanding of what makes the human being.

My work develops an investigation and production that relates forms of power and control with ideas such as identity, territory or migration, exploring how these relations of friction and force have the capacity to define affective, social and political constructions on both an intimate and economic level, showing themselves as anthropological representations of a social system currently under definition.
Symbolically speaking, I seek through the artistic field to give origin and weight to a chain between acts, forms, signs and images, reconfiguring this chain in a visual production that accounts for the latent processes of the particular themes addressed by each investigation. Thus developing pieces that present a social vein linked to the economic systems and the relations between them, analysing the flaws, the precariousness and the fragile balance of power existing in labour relations and the hierarchical imposition of powers of domination in the framework of neo-colonial capitalism and the normalised hegemonic impositions.

Juan Nazar

Juan Nazar, (Chile) studied architecture in Chile and Italy, after which he turned towards the development of visual arts. He refined this practice under the supervision of the artist Eugenio Dittborn, as well as by participating in art residencies in cities such as Lisbon and Berlin.
His work consists in capturing objects and situations through photography, sketches, or cast molds, in order to then classify and rearrange them in a new context. The research approaches concepts of territory and historic interpretation through different materials, exploring the relationship between architectonic landscape and its fragments in a determined place; but also inserts itself in the subconscious of the artist himself, who takes inspiration from the German Romantic period, in which a fragment or a part of a ruin was regarded as a vestige of something that still remained unfinished.

Julia Kovtun wurde am 21. April 1980 in Kiew geboren und hat bereits dort eine Kunstschule über mehrere Jahre besucht, bevor ihre Familie im Mai 1992, als jüdische Kontingentflüchtlinge nach Deutschland emigrierte. In Deutschland absolviert sie eine technische Ausbildung und studiert anschließend Naturschutz und Landschaftsplanung.
Die meisten Jahre verbrachte sie in der Pfalz und später in Baden-Württemberg. Mit 32 Jahren zog Julia von Süddeutschland nach Hamburg und absolvierte eine Ausbildung zur Kunsttherapeutin. Sie arbeitet an Schulen und besucht ein Kunstatelier bei Lena Trubacheva, einer Künstlerin aus Charkiw. Über die ganzen Jahre malte sie hin und wieder, doch die meisten Bilder sind in den letzten sieben Jahren hier in Hamburg entstanden. Julia Kovtun probiert sich in unterschiedlichen Techniken und Stilen aus. Von Illustrationen in Tusche und Buntstift, über Aquarelle bis zu Acryl- und Ölgemälden. Von abstrakten, surrealistischen Motiven bis hin zu realistischen Portraits Zeichnungen.

However, it is in this shift and change that the artist finds beauty. The ability to capture moments in this fluid flow becomes the source of its creativity

Color is my primary language, the ​prelude to each piece. It is animated ​by the rhythm of gestures, like a visual ​melody that comes to life on the ​surface. I am an explorer at heart. I get inspired by everything ​that can add value to my paintings – it can be nature, ​culture, certain musicians and artists that suddenly ​become catalysts to a new painting.
My focus lies on direct experience, simplicity, and leaving ​questions open-ended. I’m not really a storyteller – my work is ​much more a feeling. There can be a lot of history behind it, ​but you don’t have to know it to receive it. It’s just like with ​music. You don’t need to know the score of a symphony to ​enjoy it – you can just enjoy the sounds.
I try ​to never regret a decision I have made. I emphasize a ​meditative aspect through repetition and have become ​deeply familiar with my techniques.

The experimental process is inspired by surprisingly seen objects and colors. Lerke Nennemann

Lerke Nennemann (b. 1992) is a German artist who grew up in Hamburg, but has now moved her studio to Berlin. Her work focuses on the dynamic relationship between form, color, proportion, structure, and a diversification of techniques and materials.
Through this focus she tries to generate an emotion, a sensation, and surprise in the viewer. Some works are planned and conceptualized in detail, others are created on a whim and leave room for spontaneity and chance. It is also through this joy of experimentation that her work is driven forward, forming new avenues of creativity. Her work consists mainly of abstract paintings on large-scale canvas, as well as smaller studies on paper. Recently, sculptures have also become a part of her repertoire and area of interest.

Liad Shadmi is a freelance Graphic Designer and Art Director based in Hamburg. He graduated with honors from Shenkar College of Engineering & Design, one of the leading design schools in Israel.

My colour fragments create a floating image, the flow of life, the flow of perceiving and influencing the world. The fragments stand for sensory impressions. I concentrate on feeling the world and using the language of colour to reconnect myself with the natural flow.

Liv Pedersen

Colombian artist Alejandra Caicedo, also known as La Rue, impresses with her versatility and passion for sculpture and street art. Born in Cali, Colombia, she completed her art studies at the Universidad del Valle de Cali and currently continues her artistic training at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg, Germany.
In her works she fuses opposing concepts and creates alternative universes that come to life through pastels and vivid colors. Nature and female figures are central themes of her art, as she moves away from the traditional concept of the “sublime” and explores human existence in all its facets. Macarena Ruiz-Tagle

Macarena Ruiz-Tagle (born 1981 in Chile) lives and works in Berlin and Santiago de Chile. Her work in painting, sculpture, drawing, photography and installation focuses on the contact zones between the human body and optical phenomena.
Fascinated by light as a basic element to reveal materiality and presence, Macarena’s work focuses on the observation of nature in permanent change and on making affective relationships with the viewer possible through the methods of science. Just trying to breathe. It’s even more difficult nowadays. Convulsions proceed the imminent end of all humans. Wanting to feel accepted, the characters give up their own ego, lose their identity and drown in the lack of humanity. Slowly forming into shapeless creatures, they become an expressionless mass.
You may think it’s alive, but in fact it’s at the end of its existence. The artworks I create represent the subject of self-portraiture and an in-depth analysis of myself. I try to look at me from different perspectives and objectively assess the states, behaviours and feelings within me. I have come to realise that I will not be able to present the subject of a human being in a convulsive world fully, based only on me and my experience. I therefore juxtapose the consideration of my own feelings (mostly self-destructive ones) with an assessment of the state and feelings of others around me.

I started with photography around the age of 16, using those disposable film cameras you can purchase in every drugstore. I quickly fell in love with the feeling of shooting film, the process of it, and the anticipation I feel each time I get my scans back from the lab.

Bei Frage, ob zuerst das Ei oder die Henne gewesen sei, handelt es sich um eine uralte philosophische Frage, die bereits in der Antike eine Rolle spielte. Über Jahrhunderte beschäftigte diese Frage die Menschen. Laut der Evolutionstheorie war das Ei zuerst da, laut der Bibel das Huhn.
Meine Bilder visualisieren diese uralte philosophische Frage. Die Frau fungiert auf den Bildern als die Fragende. Die Bilder sind mit Öl auf Leinwand entstanden. Zuvor konstruiere ich die Bilder digital. Anschließend mache ich große Skizzen um deren farbliche Wirkung, Konstruktion zu erfassen und schließlich das Format des Ölbildes festlegen zu können.

I’ve long collected vintage photos of unknown souls, rescuing them from cellars and flea markets, destined for decay. As a reflection of my own disconnection with my upbringings, I intervene and bring them to the walls of those who will honor them, unaware of their true identities.
My love for threads traces back to my grandmother Valentina, whose delicate bobbin lace creations inspired me as I studied beside her as a child. The embroidery series “Tears and Lashes” merges these passions, breathing new color and life into these anonymous figures, and preserving their presence within a vibrant mosaic of memory.

It’s the possibility of playing and bringing proposals forward through visual and written metaphors. It’s the reflection of a society and its freedom of expression.

Paola Martínez Gámez

Painting others and their stories has enabled a deeper understanding of myself, provoking in me a sense of unity and viewing humanity as one.
My subjects found in the Mexican border are carefully chosen with the purpose of creating cultural diversity, equality, identity and to give a voice towards minorities. La Frontera, also known as the border, is a place that has been stripped of its identity where most of its people identify with the saying, “ No soy de aquí, Ni soy de Allá” (“I am Neither from Here, Nor There”). These Chicano portraits enable the people from the border a sense of belonging, as well as expanding cultural context to others. My first introduction to painting was through the medium of oil, which has accompanied me since. However, acrylic paint is a medium that I utilise to paint Mexican indigenous subjects with fingers rather than brushes. A black-and-white pallet is used to remove skin colour in order to create equality and eliminate classism as well as racism. Painting others enables the telling of my truth through empathy, diversity, equality, and unity.

As an artist I always have been investigating the ways in which art can insinuate our lives applying other ways of seeing the reality. Not only in its poetic and spiritual character but, in a day to day basis as a reflexive proposal before the world.
I have concentrated on investigating the landscape as a whole that surrounds us, and have looked for the ways to modify it both from the painting and from the installations. My point of interest has to do with the relationship we establish as individuals with that which is presented to us as a real landscape. My work focuses on questioning, on looking intermittently to a new world of possibilities. I develop a work method where the painting acts as a guide for what I paint, it is the one that codifies its own evolution with the dialogue that occurs between the accumulation of process, and observation. My recent work focuses on painting as the protagonist and maker of an imaginary that borders abstraction permanently.

Pavel Gempler

My figurative painting, with its constant reference to art history, is a reaction to the immediate, subjective present. My practice is influenced by different art historical movements and is complemented by classical forms, abstract elements, photorealism, surrealism, historical and pop culture references.
This creates an ambiguity that is embodied in every motif and in the spaces that encompass each character. The representation of bodies and objects in my works shows ambivalences that require the viewer to position themselves in relation to the medium of painting.

Pepita Glück

Female artist born in Spain, and now based in Berlin. With a background in Medicine, she chose art as her true calling, rejecting the methodical confines of her former profession. Through her work, she explores her reality, infusing classical myths with vibrant colors and a sense of liberation.
Often centered around strong women, these mythical portraits serve as representations of inner turmoil, passion, and resilience. In juxtaposition, the Fauvist-style still lives show a glimpse into the external world, where everyday objects take on new significance and symbolism. Whether it’s the chaotic arrangement of cards or the array of fruits in a bowl, they reflect the worlds shaped around us.

Standing in front of a blank canvas gives me the freedom to express myself and understand my emotions. Each painting begins with a line or circle that leads me to more. The way I paint is a process of letting go by following my visions.
It allows me to trust myself and the path I am taking. Until the painting is finished, I cannot fully understand where I am going, and only afterwards things begin to make sense and I find understanding. In this sense painting to me is a conversation with myself.

Rachel Haaze is a Berlin born artist. She studied Visual Communication at UdK Berlin focused on illustration. Since 2023, she has been exploring the depiction of masculinity from a female perspective in her project “female gaze”.
In the history of art, it was mainly men who depicted and idealized the beauty of women. With the change of subject and her romanticized yet modern view of male bodies, she questions the expectations on masculinity that still exist in Western society. She paints in many thin and opaque layers. The partially sketchy areas create vibrancy, while the detailed areas capture the focus.

Radical Passive

Radical Passive is an architectural group formed in 2019 with offices in Minsk and Brussels. We create new architecture of public spaces, buildings, interiors and furniture elements, we develop projects of renovation and reconstruction. Für meine Arbeiten nutze ich oft Druckversuche, die während meiner Tätigkeit als Textildesignerin entstanden sind. An Mustern interessiert mich die Wiederholung, durch die eine Art Unendlichkeit entsteht und gleichzeitig, bei aller Komplexität, eine beruhigende Ordnung. Meine Beziehung zur Malerei ist poetisch, dramatisch, emotional, manchmal auch komisch und bizarr. Diese intensiven Gefühle will ich auch beim Betrachter auslösen.

Motive finde ich in meiner Lieblingsstatt Hamburg und auf meinen Reisen durch Südamerika. Zudem möchte ich zwei abstrakte Arbeiten in Acryl auf Leinwand zeigen. Ich arbeite lang diesen Bildern und setze immer wieder dünne Acrylschichten übereinander. Mir gefällt das Spiel zwischen Farbe, grafische Form und Raum.

I find it fascinating that, despite the physical limitations of the technique, the possibilities are almost endless.

Sara Escribano (Madrid, 1988). Artist and engineer. Multidisciplinary artist, producer of large format installations, site-specific art, street interventions and expanded photography.
Through her artistic practice she creates encounters, the existing reality turns into a playground in which she invites the other to play with her, to open a dialogue, a new process, a new reality. I’m a self-taught artist from Chile, and for the last decades I’ve been wandering the World painting future myths for the epilogue of human history. I illustrate prophecies for beyond the End of Time: Humanity unbound of Reason, without Memory, wandering in Dreams and oblivious to Death.

Without absolutely leaving aside personal experience, my painting seeks to vindicate the return of the Landscape as a method of escape from the contemporary technological world that surrounds us, thus returning to the origins of the human being and creating a place of evasion and sojourn.
From a poetic point of view, my pictorial work investigates how humanity finds privileged points of encounter with nature, light and landscape as scenarios where dreamlike, sublime, magical and memorable, yet everyday narratives and moments take place in these meeting spaces. They are everyday settings for the stories I have been part of, whether as a protagonist, a spectator, or as part of the collective magic performed in these meeting places.

Sofia Nordmann

The German-Argentinian artist lives in Berlin. She presents philosophical content with a very unique technique. Her concern is the hidden, the metaphysical level behind the visual and the layers of reality that have a great influence on us, although we cannot perceive them with our five senses.
Her concern is the processes of reality creation and unconscious communication. She cuts her handwritten texts and paintings on transpartemt paper and constructs new 3dimensional objects out of it, in order to hide the original content and only showing the new created form.

Meine Arbeit untersucht mit unterschiedlichen Werkzeugen und Techniken und aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven immer wieder das gleiche Thema: Grenzen.
Wo fange ich an, wo höre ich auf? Wo fängt die Welt an und wo die Gesellschaft? Wo befinden sich Grenzen? Sind sie dort hilfreich oder sollten sie aufgelöst werden? Wo werden Grenzen verletzt? Ist nicht am Ende alles Eins? Was liegt unter der Oberfläche? Was kann Grenzen überwinden? Inspiration für meine Bilder finde ich in der Natur, in Gedichten, Büchern, Musik, in Alltagssituationen, Gesprächen und Gefühlen. Hier können die angesprochenen Fragen aufkommen oder auch Antworten entstehen, die ich eher fühlen als in Worte kleiden kann und mag. Die größte Belohnung meiner Arbeit ist es, wenn meine Bilder es vermögen, die Ruhe, Kraft, Hoffnung und Veränderungsbereitschaft, die ich beispielsweise aus der Natur schöpfe, auf die Betrachtenden zu übertragen.

TOTEM Santiago de Chile FRANCISCO TOTEM PEREZ IS A CHILEAN ARTIST BASED IN BERLIN FOR ABOUT 17 YEARS. THE ORIGINALLY TRAINED THEATRE ACTOR AND STAGE DIRECTOR BRINGS HIS EMOTIONS , THOUGHTS AND THE MADNESS OF THIS PULSATING CITY IN HIS ARTWORKS.

TURIDYEAH

As a professional journalist, I place a strong focus on storytelling in my art. I am particularly interested in the tension between digital anonymity and emotional intimacy.
Human relationships within the smartphone era, optimized (self-) presentation and fundamental alienation matter to me as much as pop-cultural influences and everyday banalities. For me, materials such as concrete, granite, metal, paper and paint are not only surfaces on which history leaves its mark, but also means that can deform history. I am interested in the tension between the past and the present, examining monuments and rituals of memory that are overloaded with ideological meanings and anchored in material objects.

Meine Materialien sind Ölfarbe, Leinwände, Öl und vor allem Pinsel zum Farbauftrag und trockene Pinsel zur Vermalung der verschiedenen Farben. Die Technik ist angelehnt an die alten Holländischen Meister, wie Vermeer..
Nur mit der Verwendung von Ölfarben sind weiche Übergänge zwischen den unterschiedlichen Farbflächen, enorme Leuchtkraft und halbtransparente Lasuren möglich. Der Prozess des farbsensiblen, weichen, langsamen Malens steht im Kontrast zur Geschwindigkeit und Gleichgültigkeit des Alltages.

Ich erschaffe mit den Bildern eine Möglichkeit für eine andere Wahrnehmung. Ich nehme an meiner Umgebung teil und mache daraus Kunst.

The paintings are made on impulse using intuition. ‘I am passionate about the process of painting in oils and the subject of domestic spaces or interiors has been a long standing one. Usually the paintings are made from photos which I take myself on my camera phone of what I like.’
They are much to do with exploiting the application of paint therefore making the paintings equally, as much to do with the surfaces painted on. Whether it be aluminium or just traditional canvas as it is to do and how paint behaves differently on unconventional or abrasive surfaces. Being in different locations is part of the process of painting and an integral one. In terms of scale/material and how one relates to being in a familiar environment or ambience is desirable.

In my works, I also try to weave social and moral issues, f.e. related to the current situation in Belarus – where in a dynamically changing young and modern society, folk and idyllic elements are still very deeply rooted. Yana Tark

Yana Tarakanova is a young Russian artist. Born in 1995 in Zelenograd. Currently lives in Bratislava in Slovakia Creative activism has always played a big role in my life.
Initially, I became acquainted with activism in art through participation in online open calls and offline exhibitions of the association of the worst artists (ahuhu). At one of these exhibitions, I met my husband, artist Vladislav Novoshinsky in 2020, as well as a large number of other talented artists, Dmitry Shnurov, Veronica Polonskaya, Vadim Sobolev.
I have always admired the dedication of the members of this community and the desire to continue even after the door to one of the exhibitions was welded shut by the police. A report about this was presented on Radio Liberty.
Later I became acquainted by with other protest organizations, such as the Feminist Anti-War Resistance. In the fall of 2022, the FAS announced antiwartober, every day I took part in creative tasks, and then on Radio Liberty I took part in discussing the project together with other flash mob participants. In January 2023, an exhibition of works by participants in this project was held in Berlin.
In February 2023 in Paris, I took part in an exhibition dedicated to women victims of the Putin regime. For participating in this exhibition, I received personal gratitude from the Paris mayor’s office. The mother of Alexandra Skochilenko, who now faces a prison term of up to 10 years, came to the exhibition. My work presented at the exhibition was a portrait of Irina Tsybaneva. Irina laid an inscription on the grave of Putin’s parents, for which she was subsequently taken into custody and was sentenced by the court to two years of suspended imprisonment.
On September 13, 2023, an auction was held in support of political prisoners from the Yabloko party, in which 2 of my works took part, each of which was sold for more than $1000; in total, more than 3 million rubles were collected during the auction.
I am currently working on creating a large NFT charity project from the World of Fragment agency together with the Podari Zhizn Charitable Foundation.
Since February 2023, I have been an illustrator for the Insider news agency on their Twitter and Instagram pages.

In meinen Werken fließen Techniken und Materialien sowohl aus dem Graffiti als auch der Tuschmalerei ein. Vor allem die chinesische Kalligraphie und die Tuschmalerei, deren Wesen im spontanen expressiven Malduktus liegt haben es mir angetan.
In meiner neuen Serie der Keramikbilder löse ich mich vom klassischen Malgrund Leinwand und suche nach einer neuen Materialästhetik. Geboren 1979 in Halle/Saale. Seit Mitte der 1990er Jahre im Graffiti aktiv. bis 2009 Studium der Kunstgeschichte in Berlin. 2009 bis 2015 Aufenthalt in Peking/China. Teilnahme an verschiedenen Urban Art Projekten, u.a. Walllords Shanghai, 40Grad Urbanart Festival Düsseldorf, Hafendampf Essen, Urban Nature Hannover.
