Working across 35mm, medium and large format film, I explore the city as a layered, often overlooked terrain. Sometimes beauty feels absent from the streets, but at times it can be summoned through the camera. In the photograph these everyday elements can unfold their essence and escape invisibility.
With the use of black and white everything seems to exist on the same visual plane. Suddenly connections begin to emerge between disparate things revealing unexpected rhythms and echoes.
