In the series “The Ocean As Oxymoron”, Gómez Arévalo explores the affective dimensions of human relationships—friendship, love, interdependence—within a broader emotional terrain shaped by migration. Through archetypal symbolism, the series traces the oscillation between belonging and estrangement, rootedness and exile.
