BAAM

My practice explores the intersection of cultural identity, displacement, and belonging through form, texture, and gesture. Living in Berlin, a city of contrasts, both inhospitable and kind at times, has profoundly shaped my visual and objectual language. The city’s layered cultural landscape has expanded my perspective, prompting a dialogue between my heritage and the diverse influences that surround my everyday. Each piece emerges as a reflection of this duality: vibrant and ornamental works evoke the richness of my origins, while quieter, minimalist forms echo the rhythm of my present environment. Beyond their visual presence, these objects serve as meditations on resilience, nostalgia, and adaptation. Therapy. The process itself, the repetition of throwing and shaping , becomes an act of grounding and renewal. Through clay, I translate emotion into material, crafting a narrative of movement, hybridity, and identity that mirrors the experience of contemporary migration.
