BAAM

I am a self-taught artist with architectural background. I paint figurative “landscapes” inspired by who I am and what I see and imagine. My current body of work explores my queer life or life experienced by a queer person. My paintings incorporate narratives coming from real and imaginary language. The figures in my paintings are real people or representation of a feeling or emotion. I like to blur the line between inside and outside space within which my stories are told. As a trained architect I like to play with perspectives and as an interior designer I like to explore colours and materiality. My paintings can be viewed as collages or patchworks where different painting techniques form the canvas. These canvases are of big sizes to give the figures space to breath. I have the tendency to put humour in my more serious work and make the light hearted narratives more serious
