Leandros (Marios Leandros Basteas) is a Greek, Berlin-based interdisciplinary artist whose work combines traditional sculpture with contemporary materials and technology. His installations turn everyday objects and symbols such as flies, ruins, or body parts into powerful images about memory, fragility, and resilience. Working with both heavy, lasting materials like marble and more delicate and transparent like glass, he creates a balance between strength and vulnerability. His art often feels unsettling yet poetic, encouraging viewers to pause and reflect. At its core, his practice makes the hidden visible: the traces of memory, the weight of history, and the beauty found in overlooked details. Through this, Leandros invites audiences to confront their own perceptions and discover new meaning in ordinary forms and experiences.
