Laura Salomone’s work crosses disciplines, but primary involves paper collage,
drawing
and the re-assembling of discarded materials.
The starting point was the careful selection of discarded materials that she
collected over the years, mainly books, old papers and other found objects.
For her, the creative process is far from linear, instead, it unfolds as an intuitive
puzzle,
with compositions buildings, shedding, and then building again.
Her pieces serve as a statement on the potential of discarded objects to once again
become something meaningful. They undrescore the importance of reclamation and
reimagining in a world flooded with waste, offering a powerful commentary in
sustainability and creativity.
Born in Buenos Aires, Laura Salomone is a visual artist based in Berlin since 2018.
